URGENT - DONATIONS NEEDED TO SAVE JAKE - Eyes & Snout Taped Shut, Shot in the Neck, But Still Wagging His Tail-Help Jake! PLEASE FORWARD!!
Importance: High
Friends - I'm sending this out as a VERY, VERY SPECIAL PLEA FOR DONATIONS FOR A VERY, VERY SPECIAL DOG THAT DESERVES A CHANCE!! Spindletop has agreed to save this amazing doggie but needs donations to cover the cost of care which are estimated to be at least a couple of thousand dollars. Jake had his eyes, mouth and muzzle taped shut, he had on a tiny collar wrapped in a figure 8 manner around his neck and head. and was shot with a GUN in the neck and he still wags his tail at people and gives kisses. I see alot of stories on abuse but this one really got to me. Spindletop is a 501(c)(3) charity and all donations are TAX-EXEMPT. Please help us save this deserving boy and give him the chance at the good life he so deserves!!! Please see below on donation information and PLEASE email Zandra at ZeeAngel@aol.com with the amount you are able to donate so she can keep up with it. Let's all pull together and save this boy. Updates to come!!!
Jake--deserves better than this...
This dog was found by AC in Austin with duct tape wrapped over his eyes, his head, his muzzle. He had on a tiny collar wrapped in a figure 8 manner around his neck and head. He had been shot in
the neck. To his credit and the indomitable spirit of dogs, he still wags his tail and even gives kisses.
This poor pup is in dire need of getting out of Animal Control to get the care, rehabilitation, assessment and attention he so desperately needs. The kind officers and his new fans want to save him. It will take a long time before this pup will be healthy enough to be adopted, plus there is no way to know just what all he has been though, so he will need extra care in training him.
If we can raise donations to get this boy out, Spindletop Refuge will take him. Jake needs veterinary care for his neck and face, and general health. He is way too compromised to neuter, but when he is well, he will need that, too. And, of course, he needs time to recoup and just get to be a dog who can enjoy life without the threat of this heinous cruelty which will take time.
By the way, the refuge has moved to Montgomery County and is located in a nice facility on seventy acres. I wish that money was not an issue, but with charitable organizations, particularly those working with pitties, it is always an issue. With his medical care and needs for rehabilitation, we are looking at some significant costs probably of at least a couple of thousand dollars, so, please help Jake and donate anything you can.
Please let me know if you are donating so I can keep up with it. Also, note on any donation "FOR JAKE." Thank you so much and Jake thanks you, too. Woof!
P.S. The authorities in Austin are trying to find out who did this to Jake. I am sure we can all agree that we hope they find these monsters soon.
