Yeah I know I went through it when Rocky was a pup. Shelter told me he was a bought off the street pit bull. I was told to call him an Am Staff cause few know an Am Staff is a pit bull therefore reducing the fear of the community. However as he grew into a mature adult not until he was about 3 years old did he end up looking like he was a true APBT or a Historical Am Staff. He looks strikingly like the dogs in 1940's photos. Well that was when I gave up and decided he is an American Pit Bull Terrier and I was lucky to find such an awesome puppy in the shelter.

ah ok brother and sister, you still have the chance for them fighting when they mature as sometimes siblings will fight, so if your wife has experience that is good. i would still spay and neuter them so that they dont have puppies anyway .

Hard to say with out being there. My dads Aussie tells Rocky to cut the crap constantly. He just backs off. I am not experienced with more than one pit bull at all.

its time to limit their playtime. this will continue and escalate into a full blown fight once they mature, both should be trained separately to bond with you humans, and start limiting their playtime so that they dont get to the annoyed state where it gets ugly. once they get older the other one might not take too kindly to its sibling putting them in their place and one day the sibling might not back down from the other and a fight will ensue. this is one of the reasons why its never good to get 2 siblings.

What do you mean specifically when you say he's getting too rough with her? Is it just playing harder or do you feel it's real aggression?

Thats what I was wondering. Cause Rocky can play real rough and does not know when to stop until my dads dog puts the snark on him. One of my dads dogs looks mean when he plays. But its just the way he plays. I get what maryellen is saying but Im wondering if they don't play together how do they learn how to play together. Im also curious is the other dog thats around an older dog? Cause like if Rocky was there he would be afraid of your pups behavior where my dads older female would correct them both. I think you should post a video of this play if you happen to capture it. Cause I be real interested. Ad I am not good with this stuff at all but very interested in case I ever get another dog.

just too rough of play from her brother,,,but like i said he only starts to do that when another dog is present,,if it's the 2 of them he keeps it cool,,,i'll get video of what i call normal play,,,not rough as i don't let it happen,,,or try super hard not to,we all make mistakes,

if another dog is present, what makes him redirect onto his sister? does he get all worked up seeing another dog and out of frustration go after his sister? when they are alone together they play fine yes? i would avoid walking them together when other dogs are present, or have you and your wife each walk one so that the boy cant redirect on the girl.. redirecting is not good, and that is how a fight can and will start.

ok first off, they are beyond adorable in those 2 videos, and how they havent knocked over that long mirror in the closet is beyond me. those 2 videos shows 2 pups playing fine. most pitbull pups play like this, and their behaviors looked fine to me.
now if you can get a video of the male and female when they are with other dogs when your male goes after your female post that one, but these 2 videos shows 2 pups having fun with each other

Ok, seriously. These videos should come with a warning for EXTREME cuteness! I am dying from the adorableness of these two!!!
And I agree with ME... this looks like very normal pit bull puppy play. Little girl is giving really great body language with her head/body turns and play bows. Little boy is playing nicely too. So I'd be interested to see them around the other dogs, if you can get video.

the only difference with another dog is this, and i'll try to get video, at some point, usually when they have been playing for cpl hrs,,the male just takes the grabs and holds over the top,,zena will give a whine or a yelp as to say ease up and he won't at which point last time she finally rolled over and curledup the lips,,you know the look and gave a real snap or 2 at him ttto say back off dumba--,,,
