This is for Pachino, a male APBT. I spoke with Martina from the Oregon Outback Humane, and basically this is a placement gone bad (well, it was never good to begin with). 1.5 yo male placed with a male AmStaff in a stressed-out home with a wife incapable of dealing with the dog. Been two fights that resulted in stitches for both dogs. From what I can gather, Pachino does NOT start fights, he just doesn't tolerate getting picked on and will retaliate.
He is being kept separated from the other dog as of now, and will go back to the rescue this weekend. This rescue really isn't equipped to deal with a dog like this, but desperately want to do right by him. Soooo I am putting the word out. He is supposed to be totally great with people. I am waiting for pix. They want to work with breed rescue and will adopt out of state. But they are in the middle of no where in Oregon, in Border Collie country, and no one wants a Pit Bull that's been in a couple fights.
