Thanks! There were nine. I'm happy to say that ALL of the females, there were five, are owned by my husband's friends, and we see them regularly... I wish we were in contact with the boys owners, but the breeder sold them farther away =( My pregnancy is high risk and it's thrown us off a little as far as her showing and CGC certificate, but next month our second daughter will be born and we can get back out in the world!

I know blue pits are like a fashion trend, but I love them. They are so beautiful! Blue is a perfectly respectable color in the breed. It's people who attempt to use the color as a selling point ("rare blue pitts") and start breeding blue/blue (which creates health issues) that it becomes a problem. My own AmStaff is blue brindle. I've always been a fan of dilute colors. They are very sharp ;D

yeah i'm not a big fan of the whole "exotic blue pits" nonsense either, but this was a fabulous sire and a friend had an older half sister of my dog, who was also wonderful... i found out that the blue color (which there is nothing rare about!) actually originated in the pit dogs/bull terriers of Scotland, where the red comes from Ireland). We all have to watch out for the breeders who try to sell blues for hundreds of extra dollars, claiming they are extremely rare... As for the trend, I can see why people like the color, because I just think my baby is beautiful-like any mom does! As always, I just pray that every pup winds up in the right hands!

ps we do have to watch out for sensitive skin tho. i can't bathe her as much and I treat her with olive oil both internally and externally rather than some of these chemical conditioners and lotions.
