First of all, how old is your pup? Young pups cannot hold their bladders long at all. How long is he in his crate? If he is in there too long his bladder may no longer be able to hold. Another thing is that he may be excited to see you so he begins urinating in response. I’m not sure there is a lot you can do about that. That is an issue that usually goes away with age (Although I thought it was mainly in females). Also, you cannot get so easily irritated with a pup! They are pistols but when you decide to bring one into your life you agree to that commitment. When my Boomer was a pup there were times...Oh boy were there times that he had me pulling my hair out but that’s what you sign up for when you get a puppy! LOL!

Have you tried waiting to let him out of the crate for a few minutes till he settles down? Maybe when you get home and go right to let him out, it's just too much excitement and he does the happy pee. Try coming home, not making a fuss over him, and waiting a few minutes t let him out until he's calm and relaxed.

Are you leashing him and heading stright to the door, or picking him up and taking him outside? Sometimes, if you just open the door and let them head to the door they get distracted. If the leashing and leading quickly doesn't work, then grab a towel and wrap him up in it to get him outside. will keep you from being peed on. It should go away in time!

And remember that pups can only hold their bladder for as many hours as months they are old. So an 8 week (2 months) old puppy can only hold his bladder for 2 hours.
