Leeds Chamber Guide Preview: Creek Bank Festival
Annual event is just around the bend
By Karmen Payne
The Leeds News
LEEDS — This year will mark the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce's 16th annual
Creek Bank Festival at Memorial Park on April 24.
The festival has grown over the years and has become a community event for all
ages to enjoy. The festival features arts and crafts booths, food vendors,
children's activities, and entertainment. There are competitions as well. The
festival features a community favorite, the Sweet's Bake Off. It also hosts the
Mr. and Ms. Creek Bark Dog Pageant, a favorite among pets and their owners.
This year the festival has a little something extra, as well. The Cahaba River
Keepers will be hosting their annual Cahaba Duck Derby River Race as the Creek
Bank Festival continues. Their rubber ducks will be available to purchase and
there will be races held all day with prizes for the winners! The Cahaba River
Keepers will also have events on the historic side of the park that certainly
will only compliment The Creek Bank festival in the Memorial park. Call the
Chamber of Commerce office for more details at 699-5001.
