I have a question. I have three pit bulls in the house. Lou Lou keeps going in my sons room and pees and poops in his bed. I put up a baby gate to keep her out and today she tore it down and went in there today. My husband wants to put her out any ideas on how to make her quit?

First a few questions....
How old is she? Does she have accidents anywhere else in the house? How long has this been going on? What sort of relationship does she and your son have? Can you detect any patterns, like what time of day, who is around, what is going on, that triggers this? Any recent changes to your household?

She is almost three. Once in a blue moon she will pee somewhere if she is left in an extended period of time never poops anywhere else though. For about a month. She is very protective over both of my children. Usually after I got back to work off my lunch break.

Well, the first thing you absolutely have to do is keep her from getting in that room. Can you crate her, close the bedroom door, or keep her in a part of the house that does not have access to the bedroom? Also make sure she is taken outside on a very solid schedule so she is not having to 'hold it' much at all right now. Does she sleep on this bed, ever? She's loose during the day? Something you said, about her being very protective over your children, makes me wonder if this is some sort of marking behavior on her part - marking your son's bed which is full of his scent. Also, it's odd for a dog to just start doing something like this out of the blue. If you can think of anything that's changed in the household right before this behavior started, that could be helpful. I also really recommend Shirley Chong's Mind Games: www.shirleychong.com/keepers/mindgames.html

I ca crate her. She is a master escape artist. That is why I let her loose during the day and crate the other two. I can swap the crate routine. I can not think of anything that changed I will keep thinking though.
