"When asked, I tell clients not to do anything to or with a dog that you'd be arrested for if you did it to a human. Basically, it's applying the Golden Rule. Seems easy enough doesn't it?" --Paul Owens, the Original Dog Whisperer

If only humanity practiced this concept with people AND animals. Imagine what the world would be like. EXACTLY!!! For me, "positive, dog-friendly" training isn't just dog training - I do my best to extend the same mindset to include how I interact with and treat people as well. (That's more of a challenge, I admit. It's just so much easier to be nice to and understanding of dogs! )

Oh Mary, one of the biggest reasons I want you to talk this weekend is because of some of our fosters. The demo dog is named Dexter, he is a CGC, and an amazing dog. His male owner, trained him, and he does do a good job, but he does use pinch collars and CM ways..... SO I cannot wait for you to go on about CM methods and how they are stupid! You gotta add that in somewhere for me!
