We went to our first "puppy social" on Monday night. There were three other dogs other than Daisy. This was her first interaction with a group of puppy play since we rescued her. We always come in contact with other dogs during our walks but no opportunity to actually get in there and play. She had a great time until the third dog came which appeared to be a sheep dog, not sure though and she didn't like him and barked at him for a while. I'm thinking it's because the dog charged at her and jumped on top of her right away while the other dogs and her sniffed first and then started playing. The person in charge removed Daisy from the area for awhile since she was barking. Shouldn't you remove the dog that charged? other than that, she had a very positive night. Tonight we start her obedience training and I'm really looking forward to that ;D . It was kind of hard to take pictures because they were all over the place running around..Here are a couple of pictures of the two nice dogs:

Aww, cute! And yes, the sheepdog should have been the one removed for inappropriate play. Sounds like Daisy was a perfect angel.

also, the puppy mixers should be with dogs of the same age.. this way there are no older dogs in the mix, as that can overwhelm puppies and give them a bad experience as well. i would keep the play dates to pups of her own age from now on

It actually was supposed to be with dogs her own age. I won't be going back there again...my search continues..
