I went with my friend and got a rescue puppy...The most sweet and calm puppy I have ever met. After a few hours in her house, we decided to take her puppy to my house and meet my 6 month old female APBT. She was a little too excited to see that little dog and did not know what to do. I guees I made a lot of mistakes by trying to introduced the two puppies since I do not have experience doing this. I was not a success, so I am asking for help to do it better the next time we try. The first thing my dog did was sniff her back and after a few seconds she barked in a scary way. As for the new puppy, she acted like nothing was going on; actualy, she showed more interest in meeting my dog. I separate them and just waited for my dog to calm down and put them back in the same room but with distance. I decided to stop there and try in a few days fearing another reaction like the one before.
What would be the best way to introduce a 3 months old puppy to a 6 month female APBT?
I have noticed that she gets along better with older and taller dogs than small dogs and puppies!
