First - is this the right place to post this? I was in training and behavior to enter a new topic but it winds up here.
this weekend I am having friends over from upstate and they are bringing thier dogs. I have two APBT. One more dog selective than the other. Their dogs are fine and even go to doggy day care. Both of mine have each met one of the dogs coming once before and were okay supervised (both of them were not out with the new dog - one at a time) They will NOT all be loose together. If we do one on one introductions outside, what is the proper way to bring the guest doggies in the house? (yes there will be crates) Should my dogs be out most of the time with their dogs crated since it's my doggies house? Or should it be equal time with each set of dogs so mine should get used to other dogs in their house? Any advice?

If you can, before the guests come in the house, take all the dogs for a walk together (everyone on leash of course). Don't let them greet at all (sniffing etc). This technique is supposed to help with dogs getting used to each other's presence on neutral ground.

tough one. I only have one dog and he gets all friggen stupid when my dad comes with his dogs. Stupid in a happy way that he cant control his emotions. My dad le aves them crated in the car and they get breaks to play with Rocky. Rocky could would stay in his crate while other dogs are out in the house. I could not stand the crying. So basically that would be my suggestion if the weather is not too cold or too hot that they stay crated in the car. Of course my dad has all the stuff he needs to set them up for that cause they do agility so he has heaters and coolers and special blankets etc.

Try not to interrupt your dogs' regular routines too much. The visiting dogs should be the ones that are more restricted, spend more time in crates, etc.
Can you keep guest dogs crated in a room that can be closed off to your two, in case everyone needs a break from each other?

Ditto to what Mary said. The guest dogs should be the ones that are more restricted or kept crated as opposed to your own dogs.
