That's cuz they are a mutation! Very scary that breeders are exploiting dogs based on color. I agree!

x3. I like gray animals, but would never adopt based on color, so why in the world would people think that's a good idea with breeding?
My favorite are the tri-colored APBTs. I love the contrasting black/tan on that super short coat.

A fool and their money are soon parted...

I paid a whopping $40 for our black amstaff. He has the typical white chest, strip down the tummy and white paws. He was SUPPOSED to be named Max... until my daughter decided he lookind like an oreo cookie while laying on his back sleeping. So.... Oreo it is! btw... you can't buy that much humor, love and laughs for $40 anywhere else!

I love tri colors too! I think they're my favorite pattern. Although I think most people see that pattern and say, "Oh, is that a Rottie mix?"

I personally don't think the resemble Rotts at all, but a lot of people get stuck on color and pattern. That's why lots of people think my 55 lb Keona is a Jack Russell mix. lol

Ok, I've been seeing "Lilac" showing up a lot with people that are trying to sell "rare" puppies. Is this just a more diluted blue (which is already a diluted black)? Lilac is what you get when you breed 2 dilutes together, red noses and blues. Not kidding here. Some of the pups will look like red noses with the leather but have a purple tinge to the coat. Just another way of saying "Hey! i just did a crappy breeding!"

I worked in a veterinary office for 18 yrs and can remember when the blue pits started commin in and the people that had them did say thet were rare and cost alot more. I wasnt really familure with the breed at that time. my nikko was a red nose I miss him so much hes been gone for 1 month now

So many think that these extreme dilutes are beautiful... I personally do not like the way it looks at all. The lack of good solid pigment is not something I find attractive at all...
