We have a three year old that wants to chew on everything in the house! What does this tell us if anything?? Seems he loves shoes the most but he will chew up just about anything that is loose around the house. We got him a large chew bone and he does like it but it did not keep him from chewing on the other things that he's not supposed to. I'm just wondering why a three year old dog would still be chewing on stuff.

He's bored, so he is finding entertainment with your shoes and anything else he can get a hold of.
A good walk once or twice a day, and a yummy filled Kong and a good nylabone should help when you are gone.

Could also be stressed. Agree with Mel...nice walk and a yummy kong might do just the trick.

some dogs are just power chewers.i have one here,he didnt stop chewing and he is now 8 lol
