I think bringing back the crate would probably be a good idea, but I'm not an expert so I'll let someone else go into more detail.

Just because I'm going through housebreaking training with my 10wk old pup right now, about how long of a time did you transition from crate being there to crate not being there? Second, how long have you been training with the bell? Maybe the transfer was too swift so the pup feels overwhelmed?

I agree. Even when they are potty trained the crate needs to stay. I have an almost 2 year old dog. A few months ago I let my neighbor's borrow his crate. After about a week he peed on my bed, the floor, and also pooped on the floor. The crate came back and all was good. They don't like it when you take their cave away. lol
