So my little destruction machine turned her sights on her dog bed yesterday, gutting it in less time than it took me to shower. It's beyond repair and I'm looking for a new one. I know LL Bean makes a really nice one but they are insanely expensive. Does anyone else have any recommendations on where to buy one?

Are you looking for a stand-alone bed, or something for the crate? If a stand-alone dog bed, consider Kuranda. LOVE these beds. Use them alone, or put something fluffy (and cheap) on top. They are a bit pricey but worth it cuz they last: dogsupplies.sitstay.com/search?w=kuranda

I'm back in the market for a dog bed for Luca. I want something ultra soft and thick with some sort of sides/back that he can cuddle into. Any suggestions? I almost never buy beds (other than Kuranda), because my dogs have been sleeping on my furniture for YEARS LOL But the bf isn't too thrilled with sharing the bed and Luca IS a bit of a bed hog ;D

I get all my beds at Costco. $20 a piece. They have a wonderful cedar smell, and the covers come off and wash beautifully. I have seen the beds that look like couches at Costco. I can't help but look, even though I don't need a new one! They are fluffy and I have washed the actual bed part itself, and came it out great. My St. Bernard is 140 pounds, and needs 2 beds side by side. (The rectagle shape) Only $40 bucks for his bed! Although, I have been thinking about just getting him a twin size mattress. That would be perfect! My husband wishes I catered to him like I do the dogs! LOL!

Thanks, Andrea. I guess I'll have to check out Costco. And ME mentioned Walmart above. I have it in my head that I'll have to spend a chunk of change for a decent bed, and if $40 is all it'll cost, I will be one happy dog mama.
I can just see your Saint loungin' out on his own matress! LOL Too cute! And speaking of catering to dogs over significant others......the bf started whining last night about a big blue dog in the bed - I told him he needed to deal with it until Luca got his own bed. He's so good natured (the bf); he just sighed, started laughing when Luca licked his legs, then drifted off to sleep with his legs contorted at odd angles to accomodate 70 pounds of AmStaff.
