Hey Mary, are you doing this for 2011? I'd like to learn clicker training, and work on getting a CGC for my two. I'll have to really knuckle down and work on obedience.
Also, can you send a short yellow bus around for Rocky? ;D

I would LOVE to get Pit Bull School back up and running in the spring, BUT we do not have a training spot at the moment. Awww poor Rocky. He is SPECIAL ;D

Hmmm I am thinking about becoming certified evaluator for CGC. Was hoping to be Mary Ellen's understudy. I never followed through with sending out the paperwork. I should get on the ball with that. I am hoping Mary finds a spot about a half hour north of her. This way it would be easy for me to attend pit bull school quite often. I want to do a recall class and Rocky loves doing shaping and everyday behaviors and Tricks. I wish I could fully convince my husband to let me do some basic training in the upstairs of the garage we just built. Its a good size. Although he was like OK I can see the nervousness in his eyes about the possibility of anyone or dog getting near his Harley's Not too mention I would have to come up with money to put some kind of matting down in case of accidents. Where about are you located Dave? PIT BULL SCHOOL, PIT BULL SCHOOL, PIT BULL SCHOOL! YAAAAYYYYY

Since CGC testing requires at least 3 other people and a dog, in addition to an evaluator, it is difficult to set up single CGC tests. Once the spring hits, we can probably arrange for a testing day, but would have to have at least 3 dog/handler teams testing. I'm hoping to find a spot in Union County for School. Throwin' it out to the Universe, we'll see what comes back!

I could probably get one other team for testing. The shelter director has a dog she could bring. Stunning blue brindle boy, very big. You'd love him.
Carolann, I live in central NJ, two minutes from RT 22.

We can definitely do a test, I'm sure it will be no problem to get a few more teams testing. Just as soon as the weather changes to something other than "deathly cold".

I would loooove for Chubby to get his CGC, but not sure he is ready for it as his leash skills leave much to be desired.

I would gladly make time to at least be a friendly dog handler for the test if I am not an evaluator by then. I will look into what it takes again to be an evaluator.

Would love to have Harl tested but don't think she would pass the dog to dog part!

If I think I can do it, I'd love to bring both of mine, but I'd need to bring a helper. With crates, of course. We need to make a CGC party of it.
