Wound-Up Kitty?

I've never seen anything like it and I've had cats for a looonnng time. We have a grown, neutered cat named Sushi. I didn't think too much of him sleeping by the dog, sharing her food dish, following her room to room...But the other night there she was sleeping and he's on her back being "indecent".
If you can get the visual of her waking and calmly standing up-she's about 60lbs and tall in the shoulders, he's maybe 10lbs
-the look on his face as he fell off...anybody else witness cross species monkey business???

I've never experienced that before with my boy cats! I've only had two male cats, though, Bowie and my childhood cat, Panther.
