When I take Chance outside through the garage, he stops and licks the concrete a couple of times. He has been inside since 5/27 due to illness, and waiting for his second set of shots. He is also on a bland diet consisting of boiled chicken, rice, and cottage cheese, as per our vet. Anyway, I thought this was kinda strange, but thought he may be lacking something in his diet that would cause him to lick the concrete driveway.. ??? Any help would be appreciated, and I will ask our vet tomorrow.

Yeah, licking of objects that aren't edible is pretty normal dog behavior. As long as it's not excessive or dangerous, I wouldn't worry about it.

Lol .... nothng to it, pitbulls are food crazy and curious ..., they would stick out their tongue and taste just about anything... My Yogi was about to let that mile long tongue out and lick the electric outlet on the wall until I stopped him... LOL.. they are so curious that one might think they are half cat..... a word of caution; if you have a paper shredder, there was a news article about a dog that stuck his tongue into one and could not get that tongue out, the owner dropped a piece of food into the machine.....yikes....
