No dogs allowed at the first class. This class was strictly to introduce ourselves and our pups, go over what we'll be doing in the class, and learn about how the trainer teaches. There will be just 4 dogs in the class (5 if the fifth person who was supposed to be there actually shows up) and 3 out of the 4 are pit bulls or mixes. The fourth dog? A chihuahua. lol I have to say I really really like the trainer and everything she was talking about just clicked with me as something I could do and that I would actually choose to do. She also owns 3 pit bulls of her own and runs a pit bull rescue. So I do feel that Babe will be in the hands of someone who understands her. No choke chains. No prongs. If you need more than a flat collar, she will only let you use a head collar or a certain type of halter (an easy walker I think it's called). And not once did she criticize anyone who uses other training methods. Just explained why she does the things she does. Exact opposite of the guy I met with the other day who spent a lot of time badmouthing Petsmart. So, overall, I'm feeling much better about my choice. I know a lot of people have strong opinions about Petsmart training, but I think we may have gotten lucky.

Sounds like you hit the jackpot with the trainer. Good luck and keep us posted!
