These were mentioned at our training class last week, and I like the idea of it.
Babe does not pull to the point of yanking your arm off when going for walks, but she does seem to prefer to have some slight tension on the leash. Not enough to hurt her, but enough to make her cough at times.
I like the idea of the Easy Walk and how the leash attaches in front. So if she pulls, all she'll wind up doing is turning herself around.
Just curious if anyone has used one and what their thoughts are before I spend the money on one?

Yes, I use them. I love them - and I haven't tried the Softouch Concepts Sensation harness but that's the original (Easy Walk is a knock off), and I've been told they are even better. I never use the Easy Walk on a big puller without a backup collar/lead, though. I don't know about the Sensation quality (although I suspect it's about the same), but I always like to use backup equipment when I'm using a training harness or headcollar.

I really like the idea of it and, overall, it's more appeal to me than the head collar. Babe never pulls like she is trying to get away. It's just that she's right there at the end of the leash so her collar is more snug than I would like it to be. I think really it's that she's young and in shape and energetic and we, sadly, are not. I like the look of the softouch harness even more. May have to get that instead of the Easy Walk.

Is this your favorite no pull harness? Aiden can no longer use the gentle leader or a collar due to his degenerative disc disease. I need a no-pull harness that won't put any pressure on his neck and won't chafe his sensitve skin.

I like it, definitely. It may cause chafing in some dogs, although less likely it seems then the Gentle Leader.

Well, back to square one. We tried an Easy Walk harness on Babe in the store today and walked around for a bit to see how it fit and worked.
It worked fine as far as stopping her from pulling, but I did not like the fit of it at all. Even when adjusted snug, it seemed like it was sliding/pulling to the side. So I opted not to spend $30 for a halter I was not happy with.
Now, I'm not sure if a halter is the way I want to go or if we'll just continue to work intensely on leash manners. Sigh.

I always use the Easy Walk with a Martingale Collar. It not only gives me extra security, but hooking it to the collar keeps it up on the chest where it works the best. They are tricky to get sized correctly. And yes, they do need to be snug...actually really snug. I met the RK Anderson who developed them and he REALLY had them tight (although I don't have it quite as snug as he does), but they do work very well when fit correctly. Mary C

Yeah, fit is the key for these things and head collars too. Mary, I'll have to try one attached to a martingale, sounds like a good plan!

i just bought a Softouch Concepts Sensation harness. so far it seems to work pretty well with maggie, who is a very strong puller. it does tend to slide around, and i am using a regular collar with it as it looks like she could easily get out of it. she seems to really do better with the front attachment, and behaves much better when we are out walking.

I tried MaryC's suggestion of using a martingale collar and clipping the leash to the collar and the front of the harness (would work on an Easy Walk or a Sensation) - really excellent idea, and if you have trouble with the harness slipping, this should solve or minimize it. These harnesses really are excellent tools to use while teaching loose leash walking.

I am using a regular adjustable harness right now and just hooking Aiden's leash to the front ring. It seems to be working!

I know this thread is kind of old, but I think gentle leaders are a great idea, except for the fact that the dog is still able to pull, just not pull you. Once the leader is taken off, a lot of dogs still pull. It doesn't replace proper leash training, but is a good idea if you are having problems walking your dog, temporarily.
