Since Mav and Cap had their little tiff a week ago, when they are separated from Snorts and Phyl, they are also separated from each other. I put Mav crated in the bedroom (our door is broken and will not lock, so dogs can push it open) and Granny and Cap loose in the other bedroom. Anyway, back to the point... Snorts and Phyl will sometimes peek into the bedroom when I'm in it and Mav is crated. Usually I stay out of there and they stay with me, but if I'm changing or something, I see little faces peeking in from the door. Yesterday Snorts wandered in there while Mav was crated and I was in the living room. I freaked, ran in there, and Snorts was just walking around, ignoring Mav. Hmmmmmm... Snorts has been afraid of Mav for about a year now and when he sees him, he growls and cries. Definitely fear aggression. This morning, I wanted to try to see if Snorts was less afraid of Mav, or if he just didn't notice him there last night. Mav was secure in the crate and I had a hold of Snorts' collar, just in case. He looked at Mav, jumped on me, jumped on the bed, looked at Mav awhile longer....all without a peep! He even sat about 2 feet from the crate and looked at him without any reaction. Now of course I will not let them out together ever again regardless, but I'm very proud that Snorts' fear is diminishing quite a bit. I was sure I'd see raised hackles from Snorts, then from Mav, then a little growling contest...but nothing! So proud of that little monster right now

Snorts reminds me a little of Chuckie from Rugrats. "I am NOT a scaredy cat. I'm a big brave dog. I'm a big brave dog. I'm a big brave dog..."

Exactly, Sugar. He's the same dog who hears a loud clap of thunder and runs to Mommy. Thankfully he's not the least bit afraid of people. It's just the rest of the world that scares him!
