Hello everyone, my name is Will and I come with an 8 week old AMPB adopted puppy! She is a brindle, named Maya. What a handful, but also companion. I am looking forward to reading through the threads to learn as much as possible. My roommate has a 9 week old Golden Retriever, so they have plenty of fun together.
Still working on the house breaking, crate training going really well. I am a truck driver so I can take her along with me, so there is a great bond created.
Also, I'm doing some training with her, and yesterday I used Beggin Strips, only one though, that I broke up completely to make it last. Today Maya has had diarrhea, three occurrences so far. Any tips on good training treats?
I know its tough because she is so young, I was told I can use regular food, she won't know the difference.
Looking forward to learning whatever I can from RPBF!

Welcome to you and Maya, this is a great board for any questions or stories you want to share. That's so cool she can be your driving companion, great for both of you. I don't know zoo about puppies but know other people can give ya good ideas. We adopted our Ophie when she was three and already housebroken etc...I feed her a daily Petco vitamin and twice a day Kibbles and Bits with a big spoon of Alpo and warm water mixed together. She loves catfood and people food too. Maybe not the most nutritionally superior menu but she's happy and healthy and could pull a refrigerator. Know some dogs get tummy problems from some brands so maybe try a different brand than Beggin Strips and see how she does.

Thanks a lot! and pulling a fridge...haha nice.
Food wise i am using Pedigree right now, but will be switching to NutriPet, as soon as i have used up what i have. I bought the beggin strips in bulk ha so maybe those can go to the golden. You're right, i'll just have to keep trying different stuff

Hey any ideas what shots I need? Its the first wave, and my roommate/I have a mobile vet coming out. I don't want her to try and sell me somethingi don't know about. I have an idea on kennel cough, distemper, and I hear there is another. Any tips?
