I've read the book and just found out that Leslie McDevvitt teaches these classes near me.

Anyone think it would be good to take this class? Was thinking of taking Jackie b/c i know she has focus and control issues.

I just sent a note to the registrar to ask about what type of dog they'll let into the class.

It says it is for dogs planning for competition so we'll see.

From what I hear, McDevitt is a "must not miss".

For whatever reason, she does recurring training classes down here in Philly, so if i can't fit in this class , it'll be the next.

and yes, i am planning...to get her into flyball or maybe agility again since her paw is better.

Control Unleashed is billed as a book for competition agility dogs but it is great for ANY dog with "impulse control" issues, which a lot of APBTs and PitMixes seem to have trouble with.

yeah, the book is great and a lot of things in her book, apply so much to Jackie's demeanor and things we need to work on...
