I luv well-done tattoos, and I've been eyeballing a design from Linz Art for ages now. Slight modifications, and it would be a portrait of my Krash who passed several years back.
Anyone else have or think about getting a Pit Bull tattoo?

I have been thinking about it! Maybe on the back of my neck. Of my first dog ever, a pit mix named Sprite. Still trying to get the image to look good. Where do you want yours?

The location is what's holding me up. Not sure where I want it...was thinking low back/hip area.

I thought that would be a good place too, and it wouldn't hurt as much to get it where there is a little more flesh. Friends told me "You're going to get a tramp stamp?" I guess that's what "they" call it in that area. It seems like the perfect spot to me!

A friend asked me the same thing, "You sure you want to get a TRAMP STAMP??" I said, 'It's not a tramp stamp by any means' (too big, wrong spot). LOL Funny you got the same reaction.
And yeah, I was thinking the same thing, there is a little meat there. However I think that is also a pretty sensitive area (at least it is on me). My other thought was calf.

My vote is for the stamp. It's a little more sexy and femminine. But, on your calf, you could look at it too, without having to always stand in front of a mirror looking at your backside!

I have a Pitbull tattoo. Not because of the dog. I had it before I got MaGee and started in rescue work.
I got it for reasons very near and dear to me, so I know I will never regret it. It is on my upper right arm, high enough that I can wear short sleeve shirts in a business setting.
If you'd like, I can send you a pic.

I am getting one this weekend. On my shoulder not to big but not real small. I have a few tattos already. They are all black and tribal so my husband drew this ine out and it is also tribal and will be in black. I am not big on color tats my self, but I think that they look good.

I got my 4th tattoo last week while I was in Vegas. Unless you have a high pain tolerance, I do not recommend the rib area! OUCHIES! lol
Coincidentally the tattoo artist also had 3 pit bulls! We talked about our dogs throughout the whole 4 hour process and that made it go by so much faster!
Mary, is the design of the whole body or just the head? Personally I think that head portraits look best on an area that's not too big...for example calf, forearm, upper arm...otherwise they can kind of look like a round blob. Although that totally depends on if you have other ink or not.

hubby has some tats, 2 of gamefowl:1 of a dragon(el diablo) lol mexicans hate him lol, n a smiley face that has the eyebrows pointing downward lol, he wants to get both the gamefowl tats covered up cause he said they dont look like his gamefowl n he wants to get them redone better, n i want a pit tat on my shoulder (but im scared of needles n dont know if i could go threw with it) n i also wanted to get a tat of a old Ga swamp scene with a big ole moon in the sky with a catfish head stickin out of the water with a hook n its mouth like its just got caught with the date 3-7-07 in the moon, all in black n white, from the middle of my back to the waist ban of where my jeans will hit,:(i want this tat cause the night me n hubby officially met he came n got me n we went fishin n i caught the ONLY fish which was a catfish, n i still got the pic of the catfish i caught lol) but the person i want to do my tat is the guy from LA Ink(corey i think is his name, been awhile since i seen the show), lol but i live ALLLLLLL the way in south ga n dont think ill ever be in LA lol.....but his tats are the best, ive seen the episode where he did a black n white owl n it looked so REAL n thats the reason y i want him to do the swamp scene! but i aint gettin a tat n-e time soon...got a little to much extra "fat" lol, n it wouldnt look good on me!

Although that totally depends on if you have other ink or not. I plan on just the head but it's got some shading, flowers n things around it, and I want it a decent size because of detail, etc. I'm not that big so something like this should be find on the area I'm thinking.....

Thought about getting one as my first tattoo but after thinking about it further I thought I should get something smaller firs. Then my second one would be of my two babies. (dogs) Just a little suggestion if you wanted to bring some TV exposure to the pit bulls and get an awesome tattoo as well. Try getting one done from KAT Von D from TLC's LA ink or Ami from TLC's Miami Ink. Ami is an avid pit bull lover even though Dade county has baned the breed in Miami. Just a thought.

Pixie at Kat's shop is very pro Pit Bull. LA Ink had an episode with Villa Lobos on it.

I have been trying to come up with a idea for my next tat for a while now, i will be having Scoobs as the main subject, but want more than just the portrait be it head or whole body, i want him to be part of ascene, just trying to work out that scene is the hard thing..... any ideas would be great.
