What are some things that seem to be common amongst all/most Pit Bull owners? Catch phrases, beliefs, rules, etc. Which ones do you like/embrace, and which ones do you wish would disappear?
For instance:
All Pit Bull owners know our breed is THE BEST ;D
A belief I really do NOT agree with:
Certain people love to repeat the phrase, "Pit Bulls LIKE to fight with other dogs". That is such misgudied thinking!

In keeping with my recent thread, I'd like to add the phrase, "It's all how you train/raise 'em" as a belief that I disagree with and find misleading.

"If you don't like them the way they are (i.e. dog aggressive), get a poodle"
I hate that one because it condones the refusal of some people to train their dogs to BEHAVE, which is critical even if you accept that the APBT does have a heightened prey drive towards other dogs.

Yeah, the breed's general temperament is definitely used as an excuse by some to NOT teach their dog's even the most basic of manners around other critters.

I completely agree with you on this one, and wanted to add that I have known a couple of very ill-mannered poodles.
