Nothing revolutionary, just been working on doing some shaping with my "difficult" child when it comes to training. Tucker's always been agreeable and sweet and easygoing, but he's difficult to motivate when it comes to training some behaviors ... for a long time, I just figured we'd settle for sits/downs and a couple of little tricks. But I am finally learning how to work with him better using free-shaping. We decided not too long ago to revisit an attempt to teach a retrieve, and I'm actually making some progress. Just wanted to share, becuase I find it pretty rewarding when I start to see progress with him, even if it is happening in baby steps! baltimorebulldogs.blogspot.com/2011/09/freeshaping-retrieve-with-clicker.html

Ah retrieving. Yeah mine does not either. Only if I have a treat available he will retrieve and put away. Have not worked on it in a while. You may have inspired me to get back to training him. I love tuckers look on his face after he touches the dumbell.
