I bought the Ugodog indoor dog 'pottie' a few weeks ago for my 8 year old female pit. Here is some info on it: www.ugodog.orgIt's been 2 weeks now and she's not yet wanting to use it. I am practicing the technique as per the website's recommendation. I wonder if she'll ever go on it. I got it because she's getting older, we live in an apartment and are away 8 hours/day at work which means that she has to 'hold it' for about 8.5 hrs each weekday. Has anyone else used this product (or similar ones) with success for adult dogs? If so, I would love to know how you trained your dog to go.

she probably doesnt like the feel of the ugodog on her feet is what i am thinking. its more like a surface most dogs wont potty on.
i trained one of my dogs to use a litterbox, i used half a vari kennel and got all natural arm & hammer cat litter and it took me a day to train the dog to use it... most dogs will use a litterbox that has sand, or grass, or litter in it but most wont go on a surface like the ugodog...
try a half vari kennel and some arm & hammer all natural corn litter, that should work better for her

I have limited experience with housebreaking but Ophie came to us with litterbox training. Really messed with the cats heads those first few weeks till I got her to go outside instead. But maybe return this Ugodog and just get a big litterbox and the Arm and Hammer, oh and put some of her poop in the litter and let her sniff it so she understands what you want her to do with it, then of course reward her as she catches on.

Unfortunately I can't return the Ugodog, my partner stepped on it by accident and a little piece broke off of it. She does sit on it and stays on it for a while ... so she seems comfortable enough being on it, but can't associate going potty on it yet. When outside she prefers going on grass, so maybe we'll pick some grass (I mean, lots of it, haha) and spread it on the Ugodog and see if she gets it then. I'll keep trying. I also read the 'Housetraining' manual that's on here, too, so I'll try to incorporate those ideas too.
