www.octobertails.com/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=491677We went to this the past two years and it makes for a nice afternoon. There are kid things like facepainting plus Verona Park has a beautiful playground, snack bar and paddle boats. Proceeds benefit St. Barnabas Hospice and Paws for Patients, the hospice pet therapy group. There is a registration form if you want to contribute, get in the drawings and parade with the dog. We can't bring Pookins so I just donate $10 and enjoy the activities. Date is Sunday 10/24 1-4:30 (Raindate is Sunday 10/30)

Next year you might look into getting a table there. Great turnout and a perfect day to be outside. There were alot of pitties and an audience that could use some enlightenment. I stopped to pet an Ophie clone and asking the owner what she was led to "Oh, uh she's a mix um we have no IDEA what she is". It's okay darlin' I won't even whisper the P word.
The costumes were awesome though. Two samoyed nurses, whole bunch of ch princesses, the pimp costume while being offensive was still entertaining-purple jacket, scarves, superfly hat, lot of those costumes with creatures or people riding the dogs, one with twinkle lights-very festive. Free doggie treats and people candy at every table, we really had a great afternoon
