Hello all, I've had pits in my house since I was about 6 and love every one of mine!! I'm writing a speech in college about the history of the breed and any pictures or websites that could help. Now this isn't a persuasive speech but informational. I have to have references from credible sources (ugh college sucks!!) and am having a hard time getting real facts. I have why the breed is looked down on now, including the sports illustrated cover that came out in the 80's. So yeah any pictures of your lovely little baby that I could put on my power point would be appreciated, epically pictures with kids/ family. They will not be published, only used for this class speech. Thank you in advance, any help is appreciated!!

Hey Jessica, welcome! Here is a page that should help you with history (along with references): www.realpitbull.com/history.htmlAlso, we have tons of pix here on the forum, and I'm sure many of our members would be happy to share them with you for your speech. There are some great shots on the photo board.

Jessica, you could use pix of the fight bust dog I fostered, Sedona. She is now in her forever home and lives with one of our forum members. And if you need any help with the persuasive dog fighting speech itself, let me know. Attachments:

Here is a real moment that I caught. I brought my mother to stay with me after an emergency room visit. She had recently had lost her 30 yr live in boyfriend and was suffering from severe tremors turned out to be a side effect from medication. Rocky got up on the couch and held her down. His warmth and pressure soothed her and relieved the tremors. A special moment she will never forget. Something she loves to share
