I would love to see Suzanne at a lectur/seminar. I heard she is a great speaker and really funny. you should sponsor her! I'm sure she's not cheap, but you could do it as a fundraiser. I got to see her once and she was completely awesome. Totally changed my understanding of what "aggression" is... one of her favorite things to do is to showcase dogs a participant has called aggressive. This one was a border collie, the owner said had suddenly become aggressive. Q: "what behavior does she display" A: "she snaps at me". Q: "always, or only under certain conditions?" A: (owner thoughtfully considering): "when I pet her". Q: "pet her where?" A: "on her rear." So Suzanne had the owner walk her dog up and down the room. We could ALL see that the dog was favoring its hind end. Suzanne pointed out: the dog is in PAIN, and she's asking the owner in the only way she can (by snapping, but NOT biting) to please stop. Needless to say, the owner was devastated at how she had misunderstood her dog and mis-characterized the dogs behavior. And never again did I accept the term "aggressive" without more specifics about the actual behavior.
