It's time something is done about Jax. The other day I had the cell phone in my hand setting on the bed and the phone went off (playing music ringing) and Jax started jumping around barking at the phone and grabbed it out of my hand and threw it on the floor. He was jumping at it barking like it was something bad. He would pick it up and throw it across the room. What was that about. He acted like the phone was going to hurt me.

It sounds like the way some dogs (cough*mine* cough) react to vacuum cleaners... no one knows exactly why. Something about the particular sound sets them off... You might try some classic counter-conditioning. Get some really smelly good treats, and have people call you. When the phone rings, show Jax the treat and throw away from you. It will 1)distract him and 2)associate the noise with something positive. Be patient.. this can take some time.

That sounds good. Someone else today told me that their dog doesn't like the phone either. The last few weeks has been hard on Jax and I both because I got bad news from home and I think Jax can sense that. He will lie on me and love on me like he never has before. It's like he is on edge. I am tring to give him more good quality mama time. Before we moved up here it was just me and him all the time and now he has to share with other people. Thanks again.
