Hi all I’m new to the forum. I currently own two dogs. One is what we think is a Catahoula Pit mix (Mollie) and one that is probably pure pit (Mable). Mollie was rescued from a kill shelter in Ohio and Mable was rescued from a breeder in Camden. They are 11 and 10 months. I've owned other pits in the past. They are so misunderstood; they have so much love to give.

Ah, the garden spot of the universe! One of my dogs was from a litter that animal control rescued from a yard in Camden. Most of the litter succumbed to various diseases they were exposed to. They were all covered in ticks, had coccidia, eventually all developed sarcoptic mange and those are just the things we had confirmed diagnoses for. Ironically, my dog Roxy looked like she might not make it through the first night when they came in, but is one of three to survive and one of only two that were never hospitalized. She's a bit of a dork, however ... ;D

Wow that's quite a story! Our girl was much better off than that. She was rescued by 11th Hour with her sister and mom. She had worms and wasn't up to date on vaccines but other than that was healthy. Our vet tech actually adopted her mom.
