I've had that conversation many times where people try to scruff full grown dogs...sigh

Ask those people if they have ever seen a dog grab another full grown dog by the scruff and shake it. The only time you will see one dog violently shaking another, is during a fight/predatory display.

People who look to other dogs in order to figure out how to interact with their own drive me nuts. Do they hump their dogs in an attempt to control? Sniff dogs' butts to say hi? C'mon now.

Gosh, I've obviously been misguided in all the desensitization and counter-conditioning I've been doing with Inara to lessen her reactivity to other dogs. I'm sure it would totally help her feelings towards other dogs if I shook her when she saw them. *rolling eyes*

Should I record this before it gets deleted. I might want to use it in my training program what not to do. Got to get my gear on for the CM lovers. The library is full of his books and I am trying to get that changed in time for program and this would be a good explanation of why.
