Anyone know anything about Antlerz? I bought one for Chubs, and its supposed to be super tough (feels like a bone or a rock!!) Its all natural (made from shed deer antlers and only cleaned but not dyed). They said it won't splinter (like bones) and a good source of calcium and trace minerals. And if Chubs won't eat it, I could probably just use it on buglers and whack them on the head with it,lol.

Dharma likes them... the other dogs don't really know what to do with them. The ones we get are not very large.

Anybody ever tried the Jolly Ball (one that comes with the handle)? I was thinking of getting it for Chubs to incorporate into a desensitization lesson (since he is basketball CRAZY). Also, some of you guys mentioned on another thread some good reviews about something that looks like a giant egg, what is it called?

Egge is the giant egg toy
I really want to try Goughnuts now. The only toy that lasts more than a day in this house is Galileo Nylabones.

I've used the Jolly Ball. Had to throw it away quickly because the handle got chewed off. Why don't you just try actual basketballs?

I've used the Jolly Ball. Had to throw it away quickly because the handle got chewed off. Why don't you just try actual basketballs? Because he can clamp down on one and pop it in under 3 minutes (no lie). And then he will spend the next ten minutes tearing off little chunks until it is a pile of rubble. I gave him a basketball once thinking (foolishly) that it was too big for him to really get his mouth around. It was gone in minutes. Two weeks ago he managed to bite down on the edge of a basketball that one of the neighbor kids left too close to our backyard fence. I seriously couldn't get him to let it go. I even lifted up his whole body and he refused to let go (mind you, no growling or anything). I shoved meat in his face and still no go. He was pulling hard enough and he was going to snap the fence trying to get that ball inside. I had to push his jowls into his mouth so that when he tried to bite down he caught his own lip and let go. The ball rolled away and I had top bring him inside. Yeah. Now that the weather is getting warm and more kids out out playing, things are getting harder.

I should have known there was a good reason for opting to not get an actual basket ball He will def destroy a dog Jolly Ball, then. Maybe try one of the balls made for horses, or even the Jolly Ball of the horse variety?

We have the horse ones got it in Tractor Supply. The handles are chewed off but they dont loose air. They stay a ball. Rocky likes to chase soccer balls we have one that is not covered in an outer material it has been here for years with out popping could not tell you where to get it as my son found it on the soccer field like 4 years ago. I have not gotten an egee yet. BUt would like to try one. Mostly herding dogs like them. My Dad has one for his Aussie they have had it for many years. She is obsessed with it and if you try to touch it your dead meat!

The West Paw Zogoflex toys are holding up great for Rhys, he destroys everything else. The Huck and the Hurley are the ones I have and he LOVES gnawing on them and he hasn't even got a tooth mark in it yet. I want to get the Zisc soon.

PS get rhys a hyperflite jawz disk. they hold up for years. DO not break and is a real disc. when they get rough around edges I take the dremel to it. I swear the best ever. I get the Jawz ugly to save money cause color does not matter or little imperfection as Im not doing competition and Rocky really not into the game. Rather steal and try to chew it up. skyhoundz.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=JD83030900 but if you google might find it for better price like amazon. Just watch cause there is a pup disc that is smaller.

I love Jolly balls but yes the handles are not great though you can cut the handles off and just use the balls themselves. There is no such thing as an indestructible toy in my house LOL
As long as toys are just user for fetch it is fine and the things last quite awhile. As soon as they chew it though, all bets are off LOL
I like Kong Tails and Wubbas too, but only for fetching

None of my 3 like the Kongs. They will play with just about anything else but they shred everything. They raw hide bones are their favorite but Jazzi gets blocked up from the raw hide. I don't think anything is Pit proof, Princess found a can of her food and chewed it open...no cuts, no blood. She has destroyed any water bowl we give them when they play outside, now we have just given them a stainless water bowl. Anyhow the toys that have lasted the longest with them are the large bone shaped squeaky rubber toys from Tractor Supply Company.

I was looking for something he can jump for. Also, we pick up abandoned lacrosse balls at the park, and he LOVES them. They're hard, solid rubber and he has trouble holding onto them so they roll all over the place and he loves chasing them when he drops them.

We've had our goughnut for about a month or two now and there's still nothing taken out of it! They love it, and I love that it lasts!

rhysmom I have the glow in the dark one. its the one I got when I ordered the ugly I actually go two. good for dark but during the day they can be hard to find in the grass or when it makes its way over fence into woods. So my next one I bought was an orange one. The only time you will need to replace the disc is if you loose it. I would definately buy more than one.

the EGGE is available again, at www.sitstay.com and www.cleanrun.com. Apparently it was bought by Jolly Ball, but it's the hard plastic of the push/play jolly balls, not the softer rubber of the ones with handles
