So i'm confused, can you use the harness with your regular leash or is it a leash that fits on two parts of the harness???

Yes, you really feel better if you have a good cry, maybe several, as many as you need...they say it gets the backed up tension and toxins out...lose yourself in a song, a book...and just let it all out...

Okay, I give up...the collar obviously isn't working and the harness is not working...i just wiped out in the middle of the street because dumdum saw a dog on the sidewalk...bent my glasses, fortunate that the jacket is padding for elbows... Tell me again which threads or books or training moves will slow her the &%$# down!!!! It isn't like she hasn't been out for awhile...twice today already. But at night she gets deranged, daytime she walks at a fast clip but I can keep up easy. At night she's like Cujo on Red Bull... Oy ahm gonna smart in the morning...there has to be some way to teach her some kinda night control...Help!

And a lesson I've learned from alot of strong people is that going to work, school...during even the most difficult of times is a good thing. You need to be gentle with yourself-ie if you feel a sudden meltdown coming on retire to somewhere private etc. But business as usual can be comforting when you really want to stay under the bed with Ben and Jerry...

You have such a gift son, it's amazing! There are people who advertise in Bark magazine who travel to different cities and do doggie portraits...bet your work is far better than theirs...just a thought

I don't know zoo about dog training but agree its a dangerous idea for kids to do corrections. A child doesn't have the size or judgement needed.

Something to consider as a Spring project...when we got Ophie the yard was partly open and a friend came over with posts, fencing and contractor ties. In an afternoon he showed me how to construct a pen that enclosed the whole backyard. It takes some muscle to sink the posts deep enough and creativity to make it escape proof, but you have the peace of mind that everybody's safe.

Ooooh calm down darlin', there is A difference between a good sized fur family and the hoarders. The hoarders don't stop collecting critters and just lose themselves. But if you have your own logical limits of how many animals and how much work you're willing to do, then it's okay.
The hoarders will have a zillion dogs and/.or cats wandering around eating food off the floor and going potty where they will. But if you have a good sized house, enough space, everyone is clean and well fed. Then it's all good.
I would have more dogs and cats but my limit gets set by Ophie not being way great with other dogs and knowing I don't want any more litterboxes to clean than we already have...did I mention my way cool "Crazy Old Cat Lady Tshirt"????
Seriously though, a big fur family can be wonderfully comforting, you have people companions and animal companions too. That's a big difference from somebody cut off from human contact with forty dogs and nothing else.

Glad Saxon was behaving himself nicely, Ophie...well it would be messy...fortunately just a flimsy gate up at the stairs and she doesn't even try to come up for cage changes.
