I just saw on another forum that there is a FB page afoot to gather FORMER members of SPBR.org together to take some action... I didn't ask permission to crosspost but would gladly forward the link since I have heard horrible things for years about that group/leader... (smilin' pitbull rescue)

it willl never work unfortunately. eric is a lawyer and knows the law. he has too many cool aid followers vs the angry ones

yes and most of his members drink the kool aid regularly. people have tried to shut him down for years and it didnt work

I never got the Kool aid thing on that forum. I will at least give them credit for starting me in the forum world and that I did meet some great people there including Maryellen. I often wonder what happened to some of the old members so I might like to check out that fb page.

I'm sticking my nose in business that's not mine BUT I have had these same feelings since 2008 when I first read about this rescue...............
I just got this response on another forum -
'There are ALOT of people who DO NOT feel the way that you do HappyPuppy. One of the major issues that SPBR has, is that it tries to do too much! Then the foster families bail when the puppies get out of the whelping box (swimming pool), then they write nasty stuff about SPBR. The rescue world is a very ugly place, quite honestly, and most of the ugliness gets started on FB.'

I cannot get the link.
I am curious,and interested in knowing what exactly is being said regarding Eric and the rescue.
I,too have heard rumors over the years,but no one has told me what is going on with the rescue or what Eric is being accused of doing or not doing.
I have been a member of his forum for years . I adopted Beau from him. Eric and I were on a few forums before he started his own.He came to California to do a home visit with me before finalizing the adoption on Beau.
That was the first time I met him in person.
Perhaps I am naive because the 'home visit' lasted a few hours and he came with another member. He was very thorough regarding the home visit. Since then there was a rift between them and rumors started regarding the rescue as well as Eric.
Believe me,I would like to know what is going on with him and the rescue , because I have recommended him to other people all these years.
Please note,I am not sticking up for him. All I can say is he has always been professional and
fair with me.
Are these rumors valid and not heresay,from past members ? Please fill me in as I am in the dark and concerned !

go on pitbulll talk and find the thread about Lila.. or ask the mods ther where it is, there is tons of info there. there are pages and pages about eric... all the members he screwed constantly try to get him shut down. everything they say is not heresay,its fact that they lived thru with the dogs etc

There isn't any other rescue out there that I am aware of that has had so many complaints over such a long period of time as SPBR. These are all just a bunch of disgruntled ex fosters?
