The whole SPBR debacle has given me the creeps for sooo long, I'm just glad finally something is being done.

And yeah, if you've been in Pit Bull rescues circles for a bit of time, even just peripherally, you've heard about SPBR.

"Cheyanne" is a young child, from what I've read. She wasn't allowed to join the Truth page without permission from her mom (which she didn't get), so I am assuming she is quite young.

!!!! i had dealings with him when i was with PBSHR in PA.. he wanted to be as volunteer and when i sent hinm the apps he used them to his advantage and started trying to pull dogs from shelters using our name... i stopped that in a heartbeat.. i just hope he gets what he deserves and gets shut down and never runs a rescue again. i doubt precious will be found:( i know he buried dogs on his property when he was building his house supposedly.. hopefully the authorities will find graves there

I heard about that, that he had tried to pull dogs under another rescue's name because he was banned from so many places. So scummy.

And the thing is... if they do dig up his yard or otherwise search it for remains, I'd be scared to know how many bodies/remains they find. I would bet there are litters or pups and various other dogs that were never even known about that have died in his care and are buried back there.

he did that when he first started his rescue. one of the shelters we used called the president and she called me.. then he started his own rescue. he used to be on the old pit bull forum and got kicked off there, thats when he started his own rescue. i dont know if its true about the dogs buried there, i heard it from a former spbr member who supposedly watched him bury a few dogs when he was building his house.

i cant believe he found someone stupid enough to marry him lol....

I've heard the buried dogs story from several sources. People who had seen it being done, or people who he told about doing it. I really don't doubt that it's true.

i really hope that those that saw the dogs being buried tell the authorities where they are so they can be dug up

honestly i am surprised he screwed up.. the last time the aspca came to his door him and his father wouldnt let them in without a warrant.. by the time the cops and spca showed up with a warrant eric and his father emptied the fathers basement of dogs..

The folks behind the scenes wouldn't let them go without a warrant this time around. They let them know what had happened on numerous occasions before and how Eric had rented box trucks and dumped the dogs at random places.

The hardest part is that Eric knew what was coming so he's been slowly dumping foster dogs... He went to India to get married and spread out all of his dogs and foster dogs into foster with other folks and when he came back, he only took some of them back. He only had 5 dogs in the house this time, which is extraordinary low for his "norm."

Amazing that when rocky was a pup that was first pit bull forum i joined. Before adopting him i almost thought of adopting a dog from his program because they always had pups. I was clueless and actually respected that guy. Then things started getting weird and i was getting accused of being some kind of spy or something when i joined another forum and asked what happened to one dog. It started getting weird and i left. That is when i started hearing the stories and felt duped. Karma i hope will find him.

I was on the forum for a while back in 2009 (I think). It was before I learned what happened with Benny and I posted to CL to see if anyone had adopted him. A woman emailed me asking me to help her find a home for her Pit Bull, Chevelle, (She ended up keeping Chevelle). Anyway, I posted to this forum saying that I was hoping they would take her at SPBR and I got a few PMs telling me I should have nothing to do with the group. I learned about the Zeus incident and began to separate myself from the forum. Then a puppy named Revlon was attacked and injured by her foster mom's resident dogs. Her foster mom ran inside to answer the phone and left the puppy alone with her dog. She was gone for 5 minutes and when she came back, Revlon had been attacked. Eric had her PTS, claiming that her injuries were too great (at the time, I believed it, but recently I read some comments on the Truth page saying that she could have survived, if he'd been willing to pay for vet care). It was tragic and terribly upsetting, but it was a mistake, and mistakes happen. What made me leave the forum was, a few days later Eric changed Revlon's petfinder page to say she had been adopted. I was sick to my stomach. This little puppy was dead and he was claiming she'd been adopted. I immediately thought of the Zeus incident and how he'd done the same then. Zeus and Revlon were both dead and both were marked "adopted" on Eric's petfinder. That was enough to make me leave the forum. I couldn't stay any longer.

I cant remember when I finally left. And seems their were a few stories such as this and I cant even remember the name of the dog I asked what happened to her. What gets me is that he knew in depth about the breed and I clearly remember him questioning a new product I was using to disinfect Rocky's bowl that it might not be safe to use. Yet he was not even keeping the dogs clean. Is he a sociopath? Because he seems otherwise normal and actually grandiose from the other side of things. I cant stand the fact that I have him to thank for even adopting Rocky. And getting through the puppy stages with him. That proves he knows how to do it right and helps others and put down others for not doing it right yet he does it all f****D up. I am sickened about what happened to dogs that I thought were adopted out. Oh one last thing. I saw Yoda on that page you linked of the dogs Cat. I remember Yoda being on the forum often. What happened? the story with the photo I dont understand. Did Yoda stay with Eric for a short time and then got thin and lost hair? I have been away from that forum my guess would be 2007? maybe earlier as I faded and came back and left. But I barely remember what dog was who many of them look very familiar to me. I did not get to look at them all yet. Just chose some looked familiar. I feel bad for people who were taken for a ride. I could have been one of them especially when I was thinking about getting a second dog or fostering. Thank god I met Maryellen there cause I know I would have confided in her and she would have set me straight.
