I fell asleep today around 2pm. I woke up when I heard my daughters car start. I looked at my phone and it was 5:45. I thought, wow Aryn sure is going to school early. Then I figured I'd better get up and let the dogs out since they would just keep bugging me. As I was laying there trying to wake up, I was a bit sad that I didn't have much more time to sleep before I'd have to be up for the day. I looked at my phone again wondering why in the world Connie would call me at 3 in the morning. Then it kind of dawned on me that it was pretty light out for not being 6am. Slowly... so very slowly the confusion cleared. Then I was pissed. Seriously the worse wake up ever lol Why have I heard of Pottsville before? Congrats Allison... I dont' envy the work involved in moving though.  |

Today would have been Lucy's 14th birthday and tomorrow marks a year we had to make a difficult decision and say goodbye. Not having a very good week I'm sorry. RIP, Lucy. What a pretty girl. |

Bummer. I'm all moved into my new place. My mattress will be delivered sometime next week. I'm excited! I'll still be staying with Colin some nights, of course, but it will be nice to have my own space |

Womp.
Looks like it's going to take 45 days to get the court to grant the "court appointed guardian" the rights to sell the home. Not sure why she isn't POA already, but I don't know the whole story. They set the new closing date for Dec 23. While this could be great for a Christmas surprise (though I broke down and told my brother because I needed his help in surprising), I just need to know that the deal WILL go through once this court thing is straightened out. I don't want to be under contract on a home for 2 months if it's just going to go to sh!t in the end.
If I look on the bright side, though, I suppose not paying for utilities, winterizing and taxes till Christmas is a good thing...but I'd rather be paying them and owning the home than not paying and waiting.
I wish they had just had this crap figured out prior to listing vs. 5 days from closing. :/

The rescue we adopted Matilda from and my husband and I foster and work with their kittens with biting issues to get them ready to adopt out. The normally work with cats, dogs, and the occasional guinea pig. I was working today and noticed a cockatiel.
I asked about it when i was leaving and the cockatiel was an owner surrender and had already been adopted, but apparently in 4 trips to adoption day in a car full of cats, in addition to being able to say pretty bird, he now meows

years ago there was a video circulating the net where a grey amazon (?) from England was filmed mimicking police sirens, and cussing out the dog, calling him a dirty dirty dog.
Loved that vid. Birds are pretty awesome. lol Would love to see a 'tiel meowing!

I went to school for little nerd children and they started sending French teachers out in 4th grade. I have also danced professionally and all dance terms are in French.
I started a new career in October and was assigned a brand spanking new work email. So I really have no idea why for the past 2 weeks, I've been getting spam to that email......in French. I've apparently won the European lottery a few times

For some reason, out of the blue I started getting spam from an account with my ex husbands first name that only close friends call him, and his last name. He shouldn't know my email. It's also sent from an iphone, and he shouldn't have my cell number. I contacted his friend to get a msg to him telling him to check his crap.
I don't really care one way or another, but it did creep me out at first.

I'm glad George has a playmate now that Matilda is here because Lucy was too old to play, but there's a play fest going on behind me right now and some noises coming out of George that sound like someone is plucking live chicken
