It's a movie Tim wanted to see. It was about aliens trying to colonize Earth and LA is the last stronghold on the West Coast. So the Marines (and everyone else, but we are following the Marines) are trying to fight off the aliens. The camera work is pretty shaky and has a news/documentary feel. There's a lot of realistic news footage that is pretty eerie. It was pretty good.

I tried watching that and it didn't keep my interest. But I was only half paying attention because I had company. So maybe I'll give it another shot.

Saw Cropsey last night. Its a documentary about the disappearance if kids on Staten Island and how it might be connected to a (now-closed) sanitarium called Willowbrook. It was gripping and creepy and sad all at once. Highly recomended!

I tried to watch Cropsey on Netflix a few months ago. Documentaries just cannot keep my interest. It really did look interesting, but the guy's pseudo creepy voice made me turn it off 10 minutes into it.

I LOVE the Coen brothers. I don't throw the L word around lightly, either.
I just watched Burn After Reading for the second time. GREAT movie, amazing cast... and the best part (no lie) is when Brad Pitt's character gets shot in the forehead. His portrayal rivals the crazy man in 12 Monkeys. And George Clooney, well, I really enjoy his crazy character portrayals in off-beat movies. He really is a great actor.
Fargo, No Country, Raising Arizona, Lebowski... so many really good movies from these guys.
Any other Coen Bros fans?

Me! My favorites (so far, haven't seen every movie yet!) are Fargo and Raising Arizona.

Its hysetrical when I tell people I have a huge crush on Javier Bardem and their response is "The crazy guy from No Country for Old Men with the Dora the Explorer haircut?!?"
which is an awesome movie, but he looks better in other movies, lol.

If you like quirky romantic movies, rent/netflix "Adam"
too cute for words!!
Also, if you haven't already seen this bit of ultra cheesy 80's goodness, rent "The Last Dragon" (love love love this movie, lol!). Also rent "The Warriors", because its too awesome not to have seen.

I watched The Adjustment Bureau last night. I liked it; not the best movie ever, but IMO you cannot go wrong with Matt Damon. Plus I really loved the whole fate/meant to be/freewill storyline. Pretty cool.

The new Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black was awesome! Not too long and of course not serious. I laughed so hard through most of the movie.
