Mary, are there any preservatives in it? i actually make the beet one that is in that link. I am FAR from vegan..but over the past 6 weeks i have been adding a lot of fresh homemade juices to my diet(I actually like the way they taste), to start eating some live plant-based food, but they are a pain in the arse to make. i do my breakfast and lunch as juice and eat a healthy dinner. i do feel a lot better. Would love to have something quick.

Marc, I juice too (just got back into it) but I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so annoying, and it's not like you can make a batch to last a week. You really should juice a fresh batch every day. That's why that Blue Print drink sounded so appealing to me...........

Here's a dumb question... Can a vegan eat eggs from chickens who've never been around a rooster? Totally not being offensive, I'm just very curious. Also, I've been feeling very guilty about eating chicken lately

Also, I've been feeling very guilty about eating chicken lately No, because it's still a product that comes from an animal. Not offensive at all, Allison. And that's an interesting point. It might be an option for a vegetarian. Although it seems like a lot of vegetarians eat eggs and don't think about them as technically a kind of meat. My personal opinion is that eggs should not be included in a vegetarian diet.

OK, I was just curious. I thought that since the chicken lays it no matter what, fertilized or not, it might be OK.

Ooooh. I thought it was more of an animal cruelty basis. For example, you have to slaughter the animal to get the meat. I thought that since the chicken is not harmed when laying an egg, it would be acceptable.
Man, you guys are tough. I think I'd die if I went vegan. Hats off!

I am in the middle of starting a Bath and Body/cosmetics business that will have a ton of vegan stuff. I mostly like vegan cosmetics, but sometimes when you want to brightest most ridiculous pink possible it will have carmine in it which is made from crushed beetles. Vegans rock! Unfortunately, I love cheese too much to give it up. I'm bad I know! But I don't wear fur, silk or leather if I can help it.

It should be early next year sometime. I need to move into the new house and get that out of the way so I can devote more funds to it.
I will definitely let you guys know though! I'm not really doing it for profit, but because the cosmetic industry is crap these days.. Too many chemicals and animal byproducts.

The way that egg laying hens are kept is way more cruel than killing a chicken for its meat IMO. I do know vegetarians that have no problem eating eggs from local farmers who they know the chickens are well kept though. I say vegetarians and not vegans because technically one is a vegetarian and not vegan if they consume or use animal products. It is all a personal choice though. I don't think I could ever eat an animal product again even if it was humane but that is just me personally.

I've been educating myself. My vegan diet has become more than just for my health, and is becoming an ethics thing. I went around the house last evening looking at how many animal cruelty products I've been using. geeze... what an eye opener.
I would never have thought that buying my paper towels supported an animal testing corporation. I have a lot of changes to make.
