Wow I just fot finished reading through this. I have many stories on where I am questioned what type Rocky is because he is so small. I am usually told he must be a mix. Well Maybe he is. But I was told by the shelter he was turned in as a full breed pit bull purchased off streets or possibly from the south. Then and now I am still a newbee I know a lot more than I did then. He is 65lbs and tall and lean. If he is a mix there are several breeds I have been told are possible. But I dont know. I went on Colby Kennels website. And Damb Rocky looks exactly like a 1900's Colby so maybe he is one of those reincarnated types. I don't have a good photo to compare but this is close likeness to Rocky. And IMO Rocky is one rare breed (: and we are one lucky family to find such a puppy in the shelter.  |

hey its exactly the same here in the uk think they must ve been reading some of the kennel sites from over there, same thing wiv english staffordshires there rare blues theres hundreds of them in the classiffieds all claming to be rare lol if there so rare how come all the ads duh!!!!! pitbulls are the same my girl coco is sorta blue sorta black sorta brown depending on the light i get asked what kind of pitbull is she too ! also a few is she red nose cross x blue nose in fairness you dont see that many out and about here and most are red nosed reds also a lot ov people dont belive she a pitbull as she does nt resemble a hippo !!!!!!!!

LOL Last year I was walking Kanga, and she is just big for a female, very long and tall, and solid LOL... Anyway a man stopped me and walked around us, total 360. I got kinda worried.... He is like what kind of dog is that, I told him she was a pit bull, he was like, "Damn, she must be one of those English Pits" LOL OK WHATEVER.... I ran to my car  |

Thank you. Someone the other day told me they had a red/blue nose mix. I was like "Your dog's nose is half red and half blue?" LOL!! See my last post in this thread. Just had someone say the same thing to me. Oh please, remind me to bite my tongue and be patient!  Half red and half blue? So its a rare purple nosed pit? |

I get asked these questions all the time. I really hate it when I'm at the vet. & someone is sitting next to me w/ there dog. Then they ask if my dog is a pit & I tell them yea. They get up & move. Now come on if my dog is so vicious just because its a pit, like everyone thinks they are, dont you think my dog would of already bit you & your dog.

This is so ironic! I read this thread, went to town with Boomer and as I was getting into my car a man walked up to me while staring in my car at Boomer. "That is one beautiful red-nose pit, how much did you pay for a dog like that?" He asked. I didnt even know what to say. All I said is, His nose is black and got into my car and left. Seriously how color blind and ignorant can you be!

I get the question all the time about JuneBug....What kinda dog is he??? An APBT is my normal answer as we walk away. What's he mixed with is another one...the answer to this is alway LOVE. As I shake my head and walk off. OOHHH my all time Fav question...He's a Pit Bull DOG???? I'm a samrt ass so I always respond Holy Shit I thought he was a Pit Bull Cat.
JuneBug is funny too he'll look at these idiots and do they head lean to the side like are you F'n stupid then make that huff sound and we'll walk away. It's priceless.....I have one of those RARE Pit Bull Dogs who doesn't like stupid people...I wonder if he eats kids too???

Plenty of idiots there calling their dogs "brendal" (almost sounds like a boy's name), lots of "blue noses", "rare blues", and tons more. I feel so sorry for the animals to have such incompetent owners. Better yet, they charge exorbitant re-homing fees just to make a buck!

Its true ladies and gentlemen, I have an extremely rare copper-nosed pit, hardly ever seen in the US!!
He's built like a small truck and sounds like an even smaller poodle, he is from the great Chubbius Maximus heritage line.

Oh dear, this thread, I feel like I should be either laughing or crying..honestly, before I got into Pit Bulls, I heard people speak of red noses and such, and I thought maybe they were regular Pit Bulls with special noses, but not..a separate breed or something. I learned better once I did some homework though.
My Roulette has brown markings on her lips, kinda looks like lipstick. Maybe if someone asks me what kind of Pit Bull she is, I could say she's of the super rare lipsticked variety? j/k
I clicked on that link, the name Mr. PitBull intrigued me, I saw "has had a bark that would make a Lion jealous; it is nice to see him growing into it" and closed the tab.
So far, I've not had any weird questions about Roulette, but when we were walking our lab mix Raven, a woman nervously asked "does she have teeth" Keep in mind Raven was smelling a nice patch of grass and paying no mind to the woman. Drew, the boyfriend, answered with "yes, she does have teeth, and we file them once a week" I gave the woman an apologetic look for Drew's sarcasm, but honestly..."does she have teeth?"
